7. Subject verb agreement:

The use of Subject Verb Agreement:

  1. Subject-verb agreement with nouns as subjects
    e.g. The class is quiet.
  1. Subject-verb agreement with pronouns as subjects
    e.g. Jimmy is the monitor of the class.
  2. Collective nouns
    e.g. Physics is challenging.
  3. Indefinite pronouns as subject
    e.g. Most of the students hand in the homework.
  4. Agreement with compound subjects
    e.g. Alan, Amy and Helen win the competition.
